Greensboro law enforcement reported they gained numerous calls about an armed male who ran inside of the shop. Rayvon Juriel Barrett was arrested a brief time afterwards.
GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro Lowe’s Dwelling Improvement is open once again following anyone entered the store with a gun, forcing an evacuation.
Police responded to the East Cone Boulevard retail outlet Wednesday afternoon.
Police arrested the suspect, 23-year-previous Rayvon Juriel Barrett, shortly immediately after.
No one was damage. Barrett is struggling with many costs, like heading armed to the terror of people, possession of firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, resisting, delaying or obstructing an officer, and carrying a concealed weapon. Police stated they had been equipped to arrest Barrett immediately after finding phone calls from several men and women.
Jim Wallace reported the suspect ran by him in among the aisles.
“I believed someone was in a hurry,” Wallace mentioned. “I considered absolutely nothing of it until eventually I received to the finish of the aisle and saw two law enforcement officers were chasing him. A person had a gun drawn already.”
Lowe’s staff members assisted Wallace and other shoppers get out unharmed.
Police didn’t say what variety of gun Barrett may well have had, other than that it was a handgun.
Investigators explained a man or woman named immediately after viewing an armed guy in the vicinity of Lowe’s on Utah Position. Law enforcement reported Barrett reportedly ran into the shop.
“Violent criminal offense nationwide is on the rise, and I’ll commend the citizen for creating that cell phone connect with,” Interim Police Main Teresa Biffle said.
Detectives claimed Barrett surrendered.
