And as a refresher…here is how they utilised to search with the aged wall coloration.
They glance fantastic in white with that wall coloration.
But not so wonderful with this color…
Which is not “white-white” though it seems it. It’s my favourite smooth (not warm) white that I utilised in our kitchen area, early morning home and eating home downstairs.
It is a color by Benjamin Moore identified as Pure White. I experienced it colour matched at Sherwin Williams while.
I understood I preferred them to have a wood search for the reason that of all the things else I have going on in here. There are a number of approaches to do it but I made the decision to do it related to how I not long ago did the bath cabinet in our downstairs visitor tub. I did do one little tiny issue unique on these though. I’ll display ya! )
I started by taping the shelves up with my absolute preferred tape.
Then I painted them with the Cobblestone paint linked earlier mentioned.
And then the added phase that I did this time…dry brushing on some of the “Ash” coloration. (see it higher than?)
And below…
I just considered that may possibly give it a bit additional dimension like true wooden has beneath the stain.
I believe it was a excellent preference. Extra may well have been even greater.
After that was dry (I allow it sit right away considering the fact that it is drinking water centered and the stain is oil based) I applied the stain. (with a lint absolutely free rag)
See the bottom just one I stained? The major one is nevertheless just paint.
Is not that the coolest? I enjoy how it appears wood-ish. And oh so basically much too!

So significantly much better than white. There is a lot of white likely on in listed here presently, the shelves didn’t will need to be white much too! lol
I’m so satisfied with how they turned out. That Driftwood stain is versitile, I tell ya!
And a person of the darker stains I sell in the shop would function nicely far too if you are going for a darker wooden look.
